Summer Solstice & a White Party

Happy Summer Solstice!  It's the longest day of the year and the start to warmer days we've been looking forward to for months!

To kick off the summer and to celebrate our good friend Justina’s birthday, we hosted an intimate rooftop White Party.  Everyone showed up in their best white linens (even the babies!) and we chowed down on some delicious Goat Hill Pizza

Font & Flour made an appearance with some new desserts for the birthday girl’s sweet tooth.  Fresh berries brought a pop of color to the white canvas of the evening.  And what's a White party without some awesome White Peach Sangria - (check out this simple but oh-so-tasty recipe).  It was a blast!  We can’t wait to host our next summer party.

Big THANKS to our friend Howard for capturing such great photos of the night!  Stay tuned for more Font & Flour appearances this summer...we're just getting started!

We love LOVE!

Hello friends!

Sorry to post so few and far between. We have been working on refocusing ourselves this year on really growing ourselves personally and professionally. We are building a website where we can more effectively display our creations and love for all the yummy and beautiful details of what we do and honestly, it's a lot of work. But, we love it and we can't wait to have something fine tuned and finished sometime in the near future for you! :)

In the meantime, here are some pictures of Di sharing her love around the offices of San Francisco!

And also, Bri sharing the love in the mailboxes of California!

We are constantly grateful for the love and support of our friends and family. Our adventures in life are that much sweeter because we have people to share it with. That doesn't only reference our romantic loves (we love them too!) but also, our steadfast friendships and treasured family members. To us, love is you.

What is love to you? Love is...

Free Printables!

Have a few last minute gifts to wrap? We sure do! For those of you who still need a quick tag or two, we are super excited to offer our first free printable - hand-calligraphed holiday tags to add a fancy, but simple feel to any gift! Just print out the PDF below, cut out the tags, get creative (or don't) and attache it to your gifts. And the beauty of it is that these tags will go with any wrapping!

We have included some pictures of how we used them this holiday. The possibilities are really endless!

Our favorite way to make these was to print them out on a thick, colored paper and apply some light glue to the edges and then dip into glitter (Bri's all-time favorite). It's a perfect sparkly addition to our lovingly wrapped gifts. :)

Print on all sorts of paper to get the desired effect!

You can simply download the PDF below and get started printing out your tags! The holidays get hectic but remember to take a breath and enjoy the twinkling lights, the crisp air and soak up the holiday spirit. Hopefully these easy printable tags will help out a little! From us, to you, have a very merry Christmas! :)

Cheers to you,

Di & Bri

What are you thankful for?

Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!

There's so much to be thankful this holiday season that it's hard to know where to start.  We've been so blessed with such awesome friends and family who continue to support Font & Flour!

Recently, a group of us were inspired by a speaker from Dignitas, an organization which focuses on empowering the under-served communities in Africa through the promotion of education.  He shared about how his church hosted a BBQ for the locals...JUST 'CAUSE!  With a little word of mouth, after its 5th annual run, more than 400 people in the community came out.

Well that  inspired one of our friends, Jon, who decided we should do something.  On November 12, we set up a Grill in the middle of the sidewalk, fired up some HOTDOGS and gave away nearly 300 hotdogs to anyone and everyone who wanted one.  The only thing we asked in return was to let us know: WHAT ARE YOU THANKFUL this holiday season.

Here are some great photos of the event:

Even Font & Flour made an appearance:

It was so awesome hearing what people were thankful for.

What are YOU thankful this thanksgiving holiday?

Pumpkin Party

TGIF!

Hope everyone had a fabulous Halloween!

Font and Flour had a jammed packed holiday ourselves with orders for a beautiful San Francisco wedding and a lovely Los Angeles Halloween party.  We got to welcome in winter with some warm Pumpkin Spice cupcakes along with a few other yummy flavors!

We can't wait to try out some more Pumpkin recipes.  We found a few delicious looking recipes we'll definitely be adding to our recipe queue!  This Pumpkin Spiced Whoopie Pie with Ginger Cream (left) looks dangerously good and we'll hardly be able to resist these Chocolate-Glazed Pumpkin Cookies (right).

And who doesn't love a good Pumpkin Pie!

Let us know some of your favorite Pumpkin recipes...we're always looking for some new recipes to try.  Until then if you have any special orders, feel free to contact US!  Look out for our new Cupcakes, Dessert Bar, and Calligraphy menus in our next post.
