Hi all! Bri, here. :)
I subscribe to GiversLog among my other much loved blogs and LOVE AmberLee’s adorable snailmail ideas and experiments. One of my favorites was mailing a pair of flip flops as part of her "happy mail" series. Unbeknownst to me, Amber also has a to die for chocolate business called Ticket Kitchen that crafts beautiful, simple hot chocolate cubes on a stick (or spoon!). When she called for volunteers to taste test her new fall line, I was in line among hundreds of other readers and really didn’t think I had a chance.
I was so excited to receive the email a few days later selecting me as a taster! To be sure the chocolate wouldn't melt on my doorstep, I had it delivered to my office and eagerly await it's arrival. The package was opened the minute it reached my hands and I was impressed simply by the care she took with wrapping the little packages. I felt like I had won the Golden Ticket to Willy Wonka's factory! :p
I had opted for the bittersweet taste testing package and was not at all disappointed. I made sure to attach the labels to each mug so I wouldn’t get confused and recruited my roommates to join in the tasting! It was so simple to just pour the steaming hot milk into a couple of my favorite mugs and stir into a chocolate-y delight.
We had a fantastic evening trying to detect the flavor notes and finishes of each of the samples. You have to get over to her chocolate shop and treat yourself to this delicious hot chocolate! It was the perfect way to fall into Autumn. It’s time to get out the scarves and pull the jackets and blankets out of the closet to get some air.
Thanks again for the chocolate-y goodness Ticket Kitchen! We can’t wait to see which is the winner! :)
